Edgecore Networks

Edgecore as part of Accton group has contributed greatly to the Open Compute Project (OCP). They are the manufacturer of Facebook’s WedgeWedge 100 and modular 6-pack open switches.

Now Edgecore offers us bare-metal -or white-box switch open networking solutions loaded with the Open Install Environment (ONIE), which supports the installation of compatible open source and commercial Network Operating Systems for different network use cases and requirements. These Open Network Switches are compatible with Cumulus Linux, Big Switch Networks, IP Infusion, Pica8 or FBOSS.

Based on Broadcoms latest Switch Silicons they support VXLAN and NVGRE tunneling functions in hardware.

Switches support redundant AC load sharing power supplies or 12.5V power through the OCP Methode connector and redundant fans.
